Hexagons for Blomstereng

Almost the hole quilt is done and a lot of hexagons is sewn, a lot of stitches. :-)

I'm still enjoying the process very much, every stitch of it! And almost sad it is all over. I'm definitely going to hand quilt.

Annual Quiltingtrip with my guild

Saturday our annual quiltingtrip held place. We had hired a bus and went to Fabrikkustsalget Brumunddal AS and Sy-Sammen in Stange

After some serious shopping in Brumunddal we went to Sy-Sammen in Stange. Karin Bækkedals held two demonstrations. First a plait technique.

A close up of how it can be.

Below you can see other samples how it can be.

Then se showed us the watercolourtechnique.

Here you can see a corner of a quilt, were she has used this technique.

Karin has also a shop with a lot of quilting supplies and fabrics so I continued to shop. This was a very fun day.

A special day for a precious boy

Yesterday was a very special day for my DS1, he had his confirmation. I haven't been able to do anything else this week because of this wonderful family event.

Just thought I'd share another pictures from his big day... Here he is with his brothers and sisters and brother and sister in-law and nephews.
